Multidisciplinary optimization of heavy commercial vehicle cabin
The optimization of heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) cabins requires a multidisciplinary approach to balance conflicting objectives such as safety, weight reduction, structural integrity, and cost. This presentation will demonstrate how the integration of diverse engineering domains within a unified framework helped achieving optimal cabin performance.
Results indicate significant improvements in weight reduction (up to 6%), while maintaining structural integrity and ergonomic compliance. This approach highlights the potential of MDO in delivering sustainable and cost-effective designs for HCV cabins, paving the way for innovations in commercial vehicle engineering.
