Digital engineering platform automation and use cases within the medical device industry

Adoption of numerical modeling and simulation may have had a slower start in the medical device industry due to the incredible regulatory requirements surrounding medical device development; however, in recent years, the topic has boomed. Focus on the ineffable in-silico clinical trials (ISCT) has driven significant changes in both development processes as well as the culture within development teams. Data retention and recollection are now as important as the methods of its creation, and Digital Engineering platforms play a crucial role in this transformation. This presentation will discuss the current role and future vision that Digital Engineering platforms will play as we work towards improved in silico clinical trial evidence and patient-specific care.
