Mark Clapper

Mark L. Clapper is a Technical Leader in Propulsion and Vehicle NVH at Ford Motor Company with over three decades of experience. He leads global teams that pioneer the use of human-in-the-loop simulators and advanced modeling to solve complex, multi-attribute optimization challenges. His work focuses on translating subjective human experience into quantifiable data, enabling more effective design trade-offs and decision-making. By integrating immersive simulation directly into the development process, he has driven significant innovations in vehicle sound quality and customer-centric engineering. Mark holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University and has authored numerous publications and patents in NVH and systems modeling.
