Tarek Belgasam

Dr. Tarek Belgasam is a CAE Principal Materials Research Engineer within the Digital Methods and Development Group in the Materials Research Division at the Automotive Development Center, Honda Development & Manufacturing of America. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University and brings over a decade of combined academic and industrial research experience in the fields of computational mechanics of materials and materials informatics.
Dr. Belgasam specializes in the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) into materials science, engineering, and manufacturing, particularly for advanced automotive applications. He is highly proficient in advanced design of experiments and leads initiatives to evaluate and implement emerging technologies in simulation, data analytics, AI, and ML. Through cross-functional collaboration, he helps drive the strategic development of digital capabilities to support Honda’s transformation toward a data-driven future.
