Uyiosa Abusomwan

Uyiosa Abusomwan is the Senior Global Technology Manager, Digital Design & Engineering at Eaton Corporation. His team leads innovative research and corporate digital engineering strategies for design process efficiency and accelerating NTI throughput. Dr. Abusomwan’s role encompasses formulating and executing digital engineering strategies that drive business value, with a focus on integrating emerging technologies such as AI and Automation in product development and product lifecycle management.

Concurrently, Dr. Abusomwan serves as a Professor of the Practice, Product Management in Industry 4.0 at Rice University, where he instructs the next generation of engineering leaders on integrating Industry 4.0 technologies in product management. His dual commitment to hands-on engineering practice and academic instruction reflects a dedication to shaping the future of engineering.
Dr Abusomwan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering for the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a Master and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
